Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone passionate about embedded systems and hardware programming. As part of our development team, you will be responsible for writing code for systems based on microprocessors and microcontrollers ( ARM-based architectures , DSPs, and products from the Nordic, Microchip, and ST families). Our physical devices are at the heart of an interconnected ecosystem; for this reason, you’ll work closely with the mobile development team to ensure seamless integration. Your goal will be to develop, optimize, and maintain the firmware on the devices, ensuring stable, responsive, and secure communication (e.g., via Bluetooth) between the relevant hardware and our applications.
Salary range: Annual salary up to 40K
Requirements:
- Initiative and curiosity are the qualities that guide us. We’re looking for a dynamic and genuine person who is proactive and participates in team activities. Previous professional experience is not required: we consider personal, college, or open-source projects, and we highly value a knack for hands-on electronics and initiative.
- The technical requirements we seek include knowledge of firmware development for embedded systems (ARM-based microcontrollers, DSPs, and the Nordic, Microchip, and ST families); and the ability to use essential laboratory equipment, such as an oscilloscope, multimeter, and bench power supply.
- A basic understanding of electronics is required, including the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and datasheets.
What to Expect:
- You’ll have a real opportunity to design and develop the embedded logic that powers our proprietary hardware tools used by professionals around the world.
- The candidate will join a team of highly specialized developers working in a collaborative environment.
- You’ll have access to a fully equipped lab where you’ll be provided with state-of-the-art technological tools.
- Working at THE METER means immersing yourself in a challenging and constantly evolving environment where, in a short period of time, you can develop and strengthen your professional profile through taking on responsibilities and working as part of a team.
Recruiting process:
Joining our teams is a challenge that requires perseverance, commitment, and strong personal motivation. The recruiting process is thorough and selective because we want to find people who share our values and are willing to invest time and energy to achieve an ambitious professional goal. Those who decide to apply must be ready to embark on a stimulating and demanding journey, in which each stage represents an opportunity to demonstrate their skills, potential, and genuine motivation to become part of the team.
There is no such thing as the perfect resume. What matters to us are the people and their skills: applications that do not align with the current selection process may be considered for other positions at Officine IADR and/or its subsidiaries.
